Headz Up is an eclectic party band. The band consists of well-seasoned musicians who bring various musical flavors, i.e. (Rock, Blues, R&B, Pop, Country, etc) for your listening and dancing pleasure.

Headz Up consists of:

Jihee Kim - Vocals / Guitar / Keyboards

Music and Jihee were destined for each other. She cried tears of sheer joy when her Mom shipped her off to private piano lessons. She was five. Seven years of classic piano, she also picked up flute, traditional Korean percussion and finally, at 19, electric guitar which led her to her first rock band. Starting with high school gigs, graduating to clubs, to arena rock crowds in excess of 20,000 and national network TV. Her musical interests run the gamut, pop standards to hard metal to classic R&B. A compelling, consummate stage performer, beautiful Jihee sizzles on vocals, dazzles laying down a keyboard riff or hard driving guitar track. In her "spare time" she works as a session singer and lyricist exploring the boundaries or rock and roll and contemporary pop.

Chris Morgan - Guitar / Vocals

Chris Morgan is an accomplished guitarist and vocalist with a Bachelor of Music degree in jazz studies (Vancouver Community College). He has many years of live performance experience in several local bands of varied styles, including Eight Count, Maxx James, and currently Radio Nation. Chris brings a strong influence within the band to deliver a smooth flowing show that will always captivate an audience, performing with passion and conviction that is always guaranteed to entertain.

Colin Kyashko - Bass / Vocals

Colin has been playing bass for many years in several different cover, original, and tribute bands including Eight Count, Maxx James, Sonic Temple, and Ham Wailin'. In addition to Headz Up, he is currently involved with Journey tribute band, "Anyway You Want It" and original project, "The Sonic Dogs". Colin also enjoys composing and recording music.

Vernon Shewchuk - Drums / Percussion

Vern, is a veteran of Western Canada's club circuit. He has also traveled the world performing on cruise ships (Princess, Holland America, Royal Caribbean, Norwegian Cruise Lines, and Seabourn) and has worked with one of Motown Record's premier acts (The Platters). Vern has done extensive orchestral work and holds a Bachelor of Music degree from UBC, majoring in percussion performance. He has recorded with The Randy Robertson Band on the cd "Look Inside", and with Jullian Shome on the cd "Black Light". Vern's great discipline, subtlety, and infallible internal clock weaves a beat guaranteed to excite the crowd and get them up on the dance floor.
